A popular family sport, Hockey has been played by members of the Ovation PR team for many years so when we were asked to launch the first Dubai Youth Hockey Club (DYHC) in the UAE we jumped at the chance!
As the first youth hockey development coaching programme in the UAE, DYHC is aimed at developing the skills and sportsmanship of young hockey players in the emirate. Hockey has seen a surge of interest by youngsters and the announcement coincided with the UAE Hockey Federation’s move towards a more structured game with national leagues set to support hockey at grass-root level.
Working with founder Nadia Schwarz, a level 1 Federation Internationale de Hockey (FIH) hockey coach and active member of Fantasticks Ladies Hockey Club, Ovation PR worked with the UAE sports jouralists to obtain media visits, interviews, news features and exceptional coverage in many of the leading daily newspapers and lifestyle titles, including Sport 360, 7DAYS and Khaleej Times.
