At Ovation PR we are massive fans of swimming and you will often find us taking to the pool for a few early morning laps, so when we were asked to promote the largest open water swim event in the UAE, we couldn’t wait to make a splash.
Taking place at Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina in Dubai the COÉGA Sunwear MINA Mile Open Water Swim Series is organised by Super Sports Events and sanctioned by the Dubai Sports Council and UAE Swimming Federation. Open to adults and children across a number of different race categories the event attracts over 300+ swimmers.
Ovation PR led the event promotion with an integrated PR, Social media and marketing campaign to drive awareness and registrations at the event. Media exposure was obtained in leading print, broadcast and on-line platforms across the UAE while social media postings on Instagram and facebook simultaneously told the pictorial story of how, why and where to get involved. Competitions and interviews were placed in top tier media and on the day event hosting, support and co-ordination were all seamlessly managed.
The result. An exceptionally successful event and the highest number of participants to date. In other words… it went swimmingly.
